Yay! We’re obviously huge fans of any holiday season that leads to cake or any sugar based treat. Easter is definitely one of those weekends. The run up to the Easter holidays for us is (as usual) crazy and full of so much cuteness it was almost hard to handle. Here’s just a small selection of some of the bunny, lamb and chick adorned Easter cupcakes we created!
Our super cute Easter cupcakes!
Our calendar all throughout March and April was so manic that even though we scheduled in creating and promoting an Easter treats collection we were just too busy. In the end we were going to have a relatively quiet period so we could prep for the height of wedding season. Nope. Didn’t happen. Instead emails, calls, messages, comments began pouring through asking if we had any collections for Easter planned. We took this as a sign and hundreds of cookies and cupcakes later we finally finished up all our orders for Easter weekend. When the last box of super cute cupcakes was picked up we were almost falling asleep stood up.
One of our designs included our Madagascan vanilla cupcake topped with a brown tinted buttercream piped into a nest with three cute duck egg blue chicks nestled on top! Each chick was moulded in a cute egg-like shape before we added facial features. We always add a little blush to our characters to create a sweet rosy cheeked look.
We also made some bunny unicorn cupcakes. Yup, you heard us right. Bunny unicorn. A request came in for Easter / birthday cupcakes and our first thought was a cute little pink (made with this gorgeous candy pink modelling paste by Squires Kitchen) bunny dressed up as a unicorn for the party. We added in some on-trend grey marbled fondant and gold too for good measure.
Finally, here’s a sweet little snap of three of our main Easter cupcake designs! Little grey bunnies nestled into strawberry cupcakes, a nest full of chicks on top of Madagascan vanilla and finally sweet little fondant lambs perched atop lemon treats! Yay!
Have an amazing Easter weekend if you’re celebrating! We’ll be making the most of the little time we have off. So lots of relaxing, eating, cups of tea and cheesy movies are on the cards!
